I’m reading Lolita at the moment. That whole middle bit after he’s already been sleeping with her and the mum’s dead just kind of drags on though don’t you think? The bit where they moved to that new town and she’s just started school. Anyway, i’m just about to finish my exams so I’m doing quite a lot of work on that. That’s what I should be doing. My English coursework is supposed to be in Monday and I haven’t started.

I used to do loads of gymnastics back home. I wasn’t bad actually. Even won a competition and everything. I pretty much trained every day of the week. I had a six pack but that’s kinda gone now which I guess is kind of better with my job. I was pretty good at Vault, that was my favourite. You’d run up really fast and do a big jump over the top of it. Now all I do is hop around on the trampoline with my 1 year old nephew.

I remember this piece of drama we had to do at school. I went to a very liberal school, we didn’t wear uniforms and called the teachers by their first names. Anyway, so this piece was really odd. We all had to be underneath this big sheet and try to communicate the idea of looking after someone. So basically we just all ended up standing underneath this massive thing, hugging each other. Yup, that’s what we did.

I’m from a town called Berry near Sydney. Berry like raspberry and strawberry. It’s a cute little country town. It’s near the coast though which is amazing. And it’s known for it’s doughnuts. Like everybody from Sydney is like, “What you’re from Berry? Oh my god the doughnuts!” It’s basically this van, the famous doughnut van, that makes them fresh for you. They’re like sugar and cinnamon. So good.

I never thought I’d be a model until it happened. I’m trying to get into fashion now so I know what’s going on when I go to a show, but if it was up to me I think I’d be turning up in a track suit. My mum’s an old fashioned traveller. Before she had me this little gypsy woman told her she’d have another child who would be famous and bring her lots of money…and then she got pregnant ! So now she’s just waiting for me to get rich I think.
ISSUE 44, Laura Schuller, FM
I love Brecht. I guess a lot of people who like theatre in my city are into Brecht. He really changed things and the approach to theatre. I study in Leipzig in Germany actually! I don’t know, it’s pretty cool there, a lot of people say it’s like Berlin 20 years ago. It’s really cheap so a lot of young people are moving there now. It has a sort of rawness to it. I’m in Chelsea at the moment which is the polar opposite to where I live

Well I wouldn’t say I’m a pro, but I’ve always taken pictures of things that are interesting to me. Like mostly I really like to go out on a bright day when there are lots of shadows and take pics of interesting shapes and shadows created by the light. I’d like to take more shots of people but I’m kinda shy about it, you know, just going up to someone and asking if I can take their pic. I think I just need to go and do it once and it’ll be fine.

I think one day I want to work for the UN, I want to help people. My mum was at the UN. For now though I’m really enjoying this. Like I got flowers sent to my agency the other day, which is kind of funny. I guess model agencies get a lot of flower deliveries huh?! Paris is so beautiful but it smells really funny in places. Like some of the stuff you can smell on the metro, I don’t even know what it is it smells so extreme.

Thanks for taking me to that shop. So if it all goes wrong i’ll get a job in that spare car parts shop we just shot in huh? I think the guys and me there got on. Ha. So if you went to my town today i would send you to the Zoo i guess, it’s not very big. Like one tiger and one lion. Maybe two Lions. And two tigers. I enjoyed being in Tokyo. It’s just so huge. I love the mad atmosphere there, just crazy. I want to go back. Soon.

Yes I’m actually English! My parents are from Latvia and I lived there when I was a kid… but I’m a London girl. At school I did art and photography, I use my Mum’s old camera, I need to get my own. Yeah, it’s digital. I’ve been modelling for two years now and I’ve just started travelling for it. I did a menswear show last week where I got dressed as a guy, I’d so be up for that again. So gimme that jacket then.
